Journalist – Writer – Reporter

I’m Alexa Benson-Amarante, a sophomore undergraduate student at Roger Williams University majoring in Journalism and Political Science. From Haddam, CT I attended East Haddam Elementary school before being homeschooled for 7 years, followed by Haddam Killingworth High School and Middletown Adult Education. My professional goals include securing a job before graduation and moving to Providence, RI; eventually I would like to complete a master’s in journalism and become a professor at RWU as well as becoming a published author. My hobbies include reading and writing poetry, fiction, and romance, as well as song lyrics accompanied by guitar. My skills include writing, researching, creativity, interpersonal communication, and interviewing with a deep personal interest in politics and government.
